My First Review:- Iceberg Slim ~ His Best Five Books

One day, during lockdown, I decided to create a review website. At first I thought I might proceed with a site reviewing popular consumer products such as Virtual Reality headsets. However, I don't actually know that much about them. After a week or two of mulling it over in my mind, I resolved that I should write about something that I know & love & that would not become a chore. So, here it is – a review site of my favourite books by my favourite authors. It's been a pleasure to do so far. Literature or VR? For me, it's not even a contest. I hope you can groove on my reviews & that they inspire you to check out these books.

The reviews themselves are more recommendations than criticism. The first is of five books by Iceberg Slim. Shocking, humorous, gritty & powerfully descriptive, these highly influential works were certainly an eye-opener for me.

A great writer can take you to a different time & place with effortless guile. The prose will flow & dance with impeccable metre. No words are wasted on boring & meaningless detail & the timing is exquisite as with a talented comedian.
